What Size Dummy TV Should You Use? (42 vs 55 vs 65 vs 75)
Choosing the right dummy TV size is essential for realistic showroom displays. Compare the most popular TV sizes.
Selecting the right TV size is an important detail when designing showroom displays or staging interiors.
Just like real televisions, dummy TVs come in a variety of sizes. The most common options include 42", 55", 65", and 75".
Each size works best in different environments.
42-inch TVs
These smaller displays work well in bedrooms, apartments, and compact living spaces. They provide realism without overwhelming the room.
55-inch TVs
This is one of the most popular sizes for furniture showrooms. It creates a balanced look for standard living room displays.
65-inch TVs
Ideal for larger showrooms and modern homes. This size delivers a premium, high-end visual impression.
75-inch TVs
Often used in luxury model homes or flagship showroom displays. These oversized TVs help create a dramatic focal point in large living rooms.
When choosing a dummy TV size, designers should consider three factors:
Room size
Viewing distance
Furniture scale
By matching the TV size to the furniture layout, designers can create a perfectly balanced interior scene.
